Or end up getting the flue from the shot like I've HEARD.

Is the vaccine a killed virus? Live? Modified live?

Well, it is difficult, but there will be more. We are getting here, but I have connections. I really don't think it's entirely necessary, but it can't hurt right. I'd rather have a 75% chance than 76% of getting the flu.

With all the publicity, I'm actually kind of surprised that I haven't heard about any scammers yet. Last year around here there was a woman arrested for giving bogus flu shots. She just walk onto a college campus and set up a sign offering flu shots for $20.00 each. Some student got suspicious and reported her. When they caught her they found out that she was giving them saline injections. Nothing harmful, but certainly no good against the flu.

That is the problem. It's live, and most hospitals here don't want it. But KDHE has signed off that it is not a problem being a live virus, and it will help. Don't be afraid of live virus's, they are there to help your body build immunity.

But I can also understand why poeple would rather not have any live virus shot into thier body. There is almost a double negative their huh?

All 3 of my kids had it during the spring, when it first came out in the US before they stopped calling it swine , honestly...I've seen them worse with "regular" flu and take longer to recover, it wasn't that big of a deal.

Sorry you're not feeling well, but if it is H1N1, it'll be over quickly. There's a couple bad days but the rest of it is pretty mild.

Ok, feel free to call me a conspiracy theorist if you wish, but its not a "theory" if there is proof, and there is, keep that in mind when reading my following post.

H1n1....Is not as dangerous as the "Government" is making it seem. Don't take my word for it, research it from reliable sources. The H1n1 flu is really no different from a normal flu on all basic levels. People are "drinking the coolaid" wayy to easily. Fear of this flu is silly, look at it, sit back for a second, and then laugh.

You may want to research this as well, speculations are that since the vaccination is not being produced properly and is shorted, the government will use this as a plan to controll mass populations. I'm not going to go into the vast amount of details of this statement, this is a herp forum.

I merely wanted to point out that your fear of this "regular" flu, is exactly what they want. Good job, you ARE the horses being led to the water to drink. Only in this case, the water is poison'ed.

Uh. That's a little extreme. ^ I'm not scared of it, or locking myself in my house to avoid catching anything. I still don't want the flu, H1N1 or not. Even if the flu never killed anyone, I still wouldn't want it.

Getting the flu vaccination does not mean your scared, it just sucks having the flu. I haven't had it after getting the vaccine. Why change? Of course, some people have the opposite reaction to the vaccine and it makes them sick. That would stink, and I wouldn't want it either.

Really H1N1 is nothing more than the regular Flu just a new mutated version.

I dont see what all of the massive worries over it is, so far I think it was 800 people have died. However 39,000 people died from the regular flu last year. From what I have heard from reading, eventually over 75% of the country will have H1N1 however not even 25% of those 75% will even show symptoms.

Just take it easy, rest, drink fluids and relax.

I too don't think the H1N1 is any more of a killer than the other flu viruses like said above.

What I DO think is that the government likes to blow things like this out of proportion to draw out attention away from something else going on or something they're doing.

Yeah, the only difference is H1N1 spreads faster, and as said before it does seem to be attracted to the elderly, and children (or people with low immune systems). Actually health officials have discouraged people from coming to the hospital unless symptoms are severe, because so many people are overreacting.

I think it is just the way the gov't announces things. People have a tendency to overreact, it seems to be one of our less flattering advanced emotions.
