Not your typical "What should I get?" thread...

I did some cage switching this weekend and I now have two empty ten gallon tanks. One lid is secure enough for snakes, the other is not.

I want OPINIONS! What should I get to put in these tanks... if anything? I'm not restricted to reptiles, either. I'm not a fan of insects or arachnids, but may consider it. I'd like to get a couple critters that I can make nice little displays for.

So, what do you think? If this was YOU, what would you get? Just looking for ideas...

    Blue Phase Dumpys Tree Frogs.

You can plant the tank and have some neat creatures.

Can you fill it with water?
I'd get a beta fish, or a panda oranda.

Gotta love cresties, but IMO you'll need more than a 10 gallon when they grow up, because they like having vertical space to run around in. A 10 gallon is great for juveniles, though.

Another good option would be leopard geckos; they come in a ton of pretty morphs, are super easy to take care of, and can live their whole life in a 10 gallon.

While we're on the subject of geckos, you could keep a whole colony of viper geckos in a 10 gallon, I think! (They're pretty tiny, but super cute.)

I do have some leos, but I'm keeping them in tubs... I have a colony of three females in a large tub and a male in a smaller tub.

Cresteds are great, I used to have a couple of them. I've also had Tree Frogs, but not in a LONG time! Never had vipers, but I'm going to look up their care now

    Keep the ideas coming please!

Wow, those Viper Geckos are absolutely ADORABLE! I think if I had a free 10 gallon tank, I'D get about five or six of those. lol.

Also, if you're wanting other suggestions besides reptiles, you could go with a pair of mice or rats. They seem to do well in 10 gallon tanks. Then again, making them a cool setup is rather difficult. *Ponders*

    Naaa....go with the Geckos!
