    Newblet with question(s)

First year breeding (woo!). I've already witnessed serveral lock between my one and only breeding pair. I've been overing food on thier normal schedule, and have eatten twice now since being paired, and I've seen 4 definate locks.

Anyway, both the snakes seem to going into shed. The boy I'm not surprised, but the girl too? Shes healthy ~ 2100 grams, has bred before, (did not go last season), and shes still eating. Is this a pre-lay shed? She looks enormous right now, but she did take down a large rat on Monday. I didn't witness a build, or lumping, or anything of that sort. Am I just looking at a normal shed and should I pet em back together when they finish?

I'm hoping its a normal shed, because I haven't yet begun my incubator!

I've looked over Marcus Jaynes, and 8Balls breeding FAQS. I'm just looking for some confirmations as I don't know what to be looking for quite yet.

if she hasn't ovulated yet, theres no way this could be a pre-lay shed.

from what i understand, gravid girls also stop eating once their follicles reach a certain size.

i'm sure someone with more experience can give their input.

How long ago did you start pairing them?

This is more than likely a normal shed. Doesnt seem like you started pairing late spring..... More or less for her to be going into a Pre-lay shed she would've been breeding for a few months now.
