Is this normal...?
So my ball python has been soaking in her water dish for almost 2 hrs without leaving it. is this normal? she finished shedding just under a week ago, and the temp and humidity has been good, so i don't know why she is doing this. thanks for the help.

So i just looked at her and her eyes are blue now, so it looks like she is shedding again. she does have a wound on her tail that we are treating with antibiotics, so could this be why she might be shedding again?

Quite possible.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

the wound defiantly has something to do with it.. they usually soak when their feeling uncomfortable about something..

Re: Is this normal...?
she was just at the vets on thursday, and he said she was mite free and when we got home we put her on newspaper bedding like he recommended so i don't think its mites. now today just before we gave her antibotic shot, she did have an abscess that we didn't know about that popped, so we cleaned it up. it was around where her wound was, so maybe thats why she was soaking. i put the humidity up, and made a humid hide for her so if she is shedding it will be a good one and be easy on her. so we are keeping a close eye on everything. thanks for the help guys.
