Rack Building Help
Hi ive been looking to build a rack for 41q sterilite tubs the long way, so if you would put it against a wall it would protrude out less. I want to build it out of melamine, and want it to hold 6 tubs. Any one know what measurements i would need, and how many peaces of 4' by 8' melamine would i need?

Re: Rack Building Help
Get a tape measure and calculator? If you were going the other way with I could help you out with some dimensions from the rack I just built recently, but they won't work sideways due to the way the sides on the 41qt tubs bow.

+1
first step to building is learning to calculate materials... otherwise your gonna have a hard time with it.
plus 41 is pretty wide. u may notice a sag, and it makes it harder to move the tubs

Re: Rack Building Help
I think I know exactly what you are looking to make. This is basically the same idea I had with my rack. I used 32qt tubs though. Any reason why you want to go with the 41qt?
Personally, I won't be doing a ton of breeding for a few years which means most of my females won't be that huge. Once I am out of school I plan to build a female breeder rack and a hatchling rack.
Here is a link to my rack process and such: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ys+rack+kaorte
