what size cage for a '09 baby ball and how do you set it up as far as heating?
I want a display cage. I will be building it out of wood with a glass front.
Sealed on the inside with epoxy.
How long before i need to build a bigger cage?

I have thought abought building one 34Lx16W and dividing it 1/3x2/3
and keeping the baby in the 11x16 side unitl it gets bigger.
Again how would you set it up for heat?

I am in the middle of building a display cage for my BP as well. My snake is about 3 feet now and I am building a very large cage, 54x18. Many people on here will probably say that is too big for a BP. I think an animal that is native to the wild will never be in a cage too big. With that said having a bigger cage means I will have to do more to in the way of hides and limbs and plants to give the snake plenty of cover so it feels secure and less stressed. It will also take a little more planing and work to keep the temp and humidity right. But I will never have to build a new display and it will look a lot better then a tub. I will link to what I have done so far and if you would like I can send you some more detailed pics to give you and idea of some of the design features

If you are building a custom enclosure, I would go with something that the snake can also inhabit as an adult. Something around the dimensions of a 20gL will be good. I would make is shorter though, around 10-12".

As for heat, I would go with flexwatt or radiant heat panels (RHP) on a thermostat.
