Regurgitation

I've just got this little striped corn (around 3 months old), it had just fed (from the petshop) - had a very large bulge, and after a few hours he regugitated the pinkie, it had fur and was about 2 inches long. I guess the problem is that it was too big for him. I have larger snakes than him and feed them smaller mice.


what do you think?

and also, do you think this is the normal striped corn snake or some other morph?

If it had just fed, the pet store should have asked if you'd be willing to come back in a day or two to pick it up, to allow it time to digest. I imagine the stress from moving from the pet store to your home was enough to cause the re-gurge. Don't attempt to feed for about 2 weeks, as it needs time to re-build its stomach flora.

If you experience another regurgitation, try to take a fecal sample into your vet to test for internal parasites.

baby corns should have no problems taking pinky mice, I know the snakes are tiny, but they are pretty capable.

The regurg is more due to the move than a big food item.

I have to agree with the above. I would say that your poor little Corn was so stressed out over his trying new placement, than over the size of the food he was given. I suggest just keeping an eye on him, keep him warm (but give him a place to escape to a cooler side of the tank) and leave him alone for a week. Let him get back to being comfortable before you handle him and try to feed him again. As for the question on his morph, from your picture I'd go with a normal striped, but I'm definitely no pro on Corn morphs.
