    Air Conditioner to Control Environment

    Hi All

I have just moved house and am investigating where I will be putting my snake room.

I have a hut outside that would be suitable as a room but the temperatures in there will get way too high during summer, so I need to find something that would cool as well as heat.

My thoughts have turned to perhaps using an air-con unit to control the environment as they can cool as well as heat. My only concern is humidity as air cons tend to drop humidity.

Do any other owners out there use air-con to control their environments? How does it work for you?

The room I'm looking at is approx 9m2 (27ft2).

    Thanks

Re: Air Conditioner to Control Environment

I do, but not intentionally. This summer has been a hot one, and the AC has been used alot. I've noticed on the days where I don't turn the AC on my temps will climb faster. The AC keeps the temps down a few degrees, and since I'm currently using dimmers, it helps alot.

I don't have a problem with humidity, I use tubs and they keep humidity extremely well. If anything, my humidity is a little high most of the time.
