Dumeril's boas.. by far the most calm snake I encountered.
Right now I'm handling my Dumeril's boa and each time I do she just sits there and is pretty calm. Her body language is also calm too. She's just an all-around calm snake. She flickers her tongue in a slow manner, she moves her eyes like she's relaxed, and she just clings right onto my hand and sits there until I move her. Really, if you ever wanted a calm snake that gets no longer than 8 feet long, the Dumeril's boa is the best choice. Over that, their patterns are insanely beautiful.

I love my dumerils. But I have heard from some friends that they have ones that can be grumpy and nippy. But mine are both puppy dogs.
