To tell the truth I think this is the rare occasion where a pastel does not improve a combo. I would take a honeybee over a humble bee any day!

I wouldn't consider a honeybee and humblebee to be comparable really. They both have a different look, and they're both great. Rather than looking at it as adding pastel to improve the honeybee, I see it as adding hypo to improve the bumblebee. Which it does, and does well.

A) That was a startling and cool experience.
B) While I didn't get 'round to "images", I did find images of the humblebee in lockup, on a breeders' website which I found so fasciinating that I've been reading his blog posts for the last two hours - and would read them for another two, but ran out of them.
Thank you for that!
BTW - I do like the humblebee . . .

Well put. Adding hypo to any morph is NEVER a bad idea!
