maybe I just haven't noticed before?

Little bit of back round: My BP is about 14 m/o, and I have to say, although a rocky road, it's been FUN!!! I had a mite problem AWWWWWWW!! when I first got her, and she's escaped three times (lived and learned!!) but other than that, I love owning a snake. She eats really well, never had one problem, and she just graduated to small rats (about 4" head to base of tail). She's ruffly 2.5-2.75 ft. right now.

Well onto the little prob: Two shed cycles ago, I had just found her after the third (and i swear to god LAST) time she got out, she had the worst shed of her life that week. The next shed was much better, but still no dream. She has had all perfect sheds (skin came off like a sock) b4 that except for when i first got her (about 13" long with mites and some spine showing). Man pet stores should not be allowed to sell pets!!! So any way, today I actually got to see her shed for the first time. Really cool!! Really good shed (thank god) however, as the last 2" of her tail peeled off, I noticed tiny little droplet of blood left behind on the substrate (wood chips, forget what kind, but i made sure they were safe b4 buying them). really small amount of blood. looked like it came from her vent. about the size of this little face thing. So what's up? off to the vet? of completely normal

    temp 84.5 F
