Re: Anyone have opinions on this light?
No, definitely not. I would pass. Also, do not get any of the compact fluorescent UVB bulbs, they are known to cause blindness.
A good bulb would be the Zoomed Powersun UVB mercury vapor bulb, the 10.0 Powersun tube(will need a separate heat source) or the Mega Ray MVB bulb from www.reptileuv.com. Anything else and it's not going to produce enough UVB to be usable.

Re: Anyone have opinions on this light?
Is there anywhere I can find that gives the exact numbers for what a beardie needs?
Also, do those zoomed lights fit into a fixture like the one for the light I posted? We have a fixture like that and I'd like to just get a light instead of a whole new thing.

Re: Anyone have opinions on this light?
Mercury Vapor Bulbs, MVB's produce heat as well as the needed UVB for diurnal lizards like beardies. They fit into a standard light bulb fixture/socket, not a tube like a fluorescent. If you want to use your fluorescent fixture get a UVB producing tube and a normal housebulb or basking bulb/CHE for heat.

Re: Anyone have opinions on this light?
I have a basking bulb for heat, so I just need something for the UVBs. What I mean is do the zoomed tubes fit into the fixtures? I saw pictures of the MVBs so I know they fit into lamps, but I would like to find something that fits into the tube fixture I have, hence the question about the Zoo Med lights.

As long as you get the same length, they should.

Re: Anyone have opinions on this light?
The BEST tube light you can get for a beardie is the reptiSUN 10.0.
