RAGE at a popular herp breeder

As a reptile lover, i went to todays show in anaheim CA. I saw prehistoricpets there, and i was looking for a female pastel. Well their shop was near by the show, so we went by on our way home. Now hes a popular guy, and has some huge animals. Well we walked in, the first thing we see are the dirty, nasty, horrible floors. then i proceeded to see a sav monitor being showed to a customer that was horribly overweight, to the point it couldnt support itself. then i saw corns,ratsnakes, milksnakes, and all different small snake hatchlings crammed in deli-cups with dried up water containers, or should i say medicine shot cups, 70 percent were dirty, there were ants all over the display where they were, and in the larger displays there were spiderwebs and spiders! it looked like no one had cleaned anything in the front of the store for a month! i was repulsed, and thought everyone should know that these "amazing" breeders dont seem to care, leave me a reply to tell me differently if you think so.

I'm not surprised. I don't like anything about that guy. His Youtube videos turned me off the second I saw them. Just seems like a pompous ass to me. Oh well. The good news is that there are plenty of quality breeders on this site and in So Cal.

I'm not surprised. I don't like anything about that guy. His Youtube videos turned me off the second I saw them. Just seems like a pompous ass to me. Oh well. The good news is that there are plenty of quality breeders on this site and in So Cal.

I completely agree, i got my spider male from jon's jungle, hes fantastic. the owner of that place also turned me off when he started pulling the twins and trips out of those eggs. i was like "raaaa" lol also he seems to care more about the money than the hobby, and that makes me sick to be honest. I understand liking to make money and use it as a business, but you have to care abotu them more than You. in my opinion.

IMO Jay is nothing more than an over priced snake mill . Most of the vidios I have seen are of him showing some over weight animals or of him ripping hatchlings out of their egg's. I must admit he does have some beautiful animals but I think he should really start to worry about the animals a bit more and not just the cash.

I haven't heard anything good about this guy. I've watched his videos on Youtube and I think people have even left comments on there saying how dirty his store was. Plus, he yells at the camera like he's in a combat zone...

I definitely will never go there as a customer.

seriously, me and my hubby wont buy anything there not even food. the ONE time we went they were treating all their snakes for mites. There place is disgusting. they need to be reported. Its so not a healthy way for these creatures to live. Its not right! I dont even know how they are still open.
