What Do Good quality pastels look like!

    Hey,
Im new to the ball python world and pastels really caught my eye and my price range at this time. I know alot of what it looks like it personal preference but i was just wondering what a good pastel is supposed to look like. This will be my first snake and possibly down the road wanna do some personal breeding for myself nothing large scale. I was just wondering if anyone could describe or show pictures of what a good pastel looks like ive picked out a few from different breeders and just trying to see which snake i should choose. For both looks and breeding aspects.
    -Thanks

To me this is a quality Pastel..

He belongs to Rabernet and is the only pastel I'll pay for offspring from..

For pastels, bright yellows and very little browning out, with blushing along the back, is generally considered "good quality".

Throw in a very clean pattern or very reduced pattern and there's some bonus "quality" as well.

from what i understand pastels, especially lemon pastels go through an "ugly duckling" phase.

I'll be watching this thread for more info.

do they continue to change a lot as they grow? I've got a male of an unknown line (but i do know the original breeder) and some days he looks HOT and others he is just so-so. :/

I can't speak with 100% authority since I don't own any Lemon's but from what I have been told.. "Good" lemons just keep getting better as they age.

Maybe Robin can shed more light on this she's the Lemon Queen.
