    Question Rocks, Bungies, or Other

Hey everyone. I'm still having the new tank blues. I bought a Hagen 36X18 for my BP to enjoy life in and an Exo Terra (Same Company) cover that is also 36X18. The cover has a lip that is about an inch longer then it needs to be to securly latch on to the lip and after consulting my good pet store (Pets Unlimited New Minas), the company that made the tank, and the bad pet store (Skeeters pet world the home a BP with a stuck shed and algea in the water bowel ) I have come to the conclusion no properly fitting lid exists for this tank. So, I am either going to weigh the lid down with rocks wich was suggested to me by hoth Hagen and Skeeters or my idea use 2 bungie cords to wrap around the tankon either end. There will be a heat lamp/CHE on top of the tank. Anyway what do you guys recommend? Rocks, Bungies, or somethign else.

Well unless you want to get another tank that has a correct lid then your options are limited. I have seen people use weights and bungee cords (which look a bit obnoxious to me).

    i would not use rocks.

Personally, i'd return it and get a better working system. If you absolutely are set on keeping it, use bungee cords. They're safer and cant really be moved like rocks can. (I have cats and housemates so i would NEVER trust something someone else can move). The bungees are ok, just be very careful with them and watch your eyes. They can and do snap back.
