A pretty long while back i posted about a pair of Het Lavs that an exotic petstore around my area had. They were only asking $400 for the pair so i never got them cause they didnt have paperwork. WELL i went back out of curiosity to ask some questions about them and got some things cleared up. He received them in a trade with some other things and is only asking that much cause thats all he needs to get back from them...doesnt make sense to me but whatever, he said that he will guarantee the genetics and will refund the money if they arnt het....So awesome, sounds good.....but now he said that the price i was offered before was a mismark (the 400 for the pair) and he's really asking 600 for the pair, or 400 each.....Still a really good deal now since he will fix the mistake if they arnt het...but geeze, couldve saved 200 bucks...I may be picking them up.

I would bet a lot of money that they will end up just being normal albino hets (If they are anything at all). Anyone can say they will give you your money back if they don't prove out, but actually getting that money back is usually tougher than you think.

I would not spend that much money on two normal looking animals with questionable history. He could just as easily contact the person that he did the trade for to ask for the genetics paperwork.

Yea, don't buy them. By the time you breed them and they don't prove out, the store might have closed, or he will tell you that he never sold you those snakes, etc. Just save your money and buy from someone else who will have paper work or at least is trustworthy.

Agree with everyone else, I wouldn't buy them.

Buy a legit Het Lav male from someone you trust, and breed it to a couple of your females. Don't spend decent money on animals you and I both know, are probably going to prove out to be normals. Is that pet store even going to be around once you prove out your faux Hets and try to get your money back?

tell him youll pay normal prices and come back and pay him the difference if they prove out to be het lavenders
i highly doubt they are and if you lucky they would be poss hets or even poss het albinos

Yeah...I'm with everyone else. I wouldn't feel comfortable buying any het without paperwork. Tell him you'll pay normal prices, and if they prove out, you'll give him pick of the clutch
