Pied's skin feels loose after feeding for the first time in 6 months...

Ok. I'm semi-new to ball pythons, so I haven't seen this before, but I bought a pied about 6 months ago, and it wouldn't eat for me. After trying everything, she finally ate a live African soft fur, and she has eaten the last couple weeks in a row.

Her skin looks loose now, and I'm not sure why. She didn't look stretched when she ate, as the ASF's I fed her were small for her size. I could barely tell it was in her belly.

Is this dehydration? The humidity stays at the proper level in the room, and the temp is right. She has a water bowl but I have never seen her get anywhere close to it.

I have 8 other bp's in the same setting, and they look great. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right when getting her back on food.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi,

Do you mean lose skin like this?

If it is then he is probably coming up to a shed for you.

Make sure the humidity is in the 60-70% range and don't be surprised if he stays hidden until he is done.

Some peoples snakes eat in shed but most of mine will refuse food during the process - I think they know it annoys me.

He should get a pinky cast to his belly as well before his eyes go milky.

If it looks totally different to that pic though try and get us a nice clear picture of it and we will try and help.
