    A little Leo genetics 101

OK So I've kept and bred leos before(Though its been a while) But I always kept normal Or High yellow.I never bred any of the really exotic stuff that is out there now.I currently have a 1.2 that is getting very close to breedable size(Just under 50g) All of my Leos were aquired through trades for Ciliatus I bred. I was told I have the following 1.0 Sunglow,0.1 Bell Albino, and 0.1 Super hypo Tangerine.

I have a few questions about this.First off Are these morphs correct?(I'm not really up to par with Leo morphs) What offspring could I potentially produce through breeding this 1.2?(Any pics would be very helpful) What would be another Gecko to aquire that would bring alot of breeding value to my harem?

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

Here are a few group shots.

And a few older individual pics

Re: A little Leo genetics 101

I would say that you are about right on the morphs from what i can see, especially from the individual pictures. Both the Super Hypo Tangerine and the Sunglow look like they are also "Baldy", which means that they have no spotting on the top of their head. Your Sunglow appears to have a Carrot-Tail. He is only Hypo though, not Super Hypo.

In case you don't already know, The term "Sunglow" is actually pretty generic. Sunglow is a comination of the "orange" and "lack of spotting" line bred morphs (Hypo/Super Hypo, Tangerine, Carrot-Tail, Baldy) and any of the three strains of Albino. Also, since Hypo/Super Hypo, Tangerine, Carrot-Tail, and Baldy are all line bred morphs, the resulting offspring from a parent with any combination of those morphs crossed with a normal will have varring amounts of the line bred genes. So SHTCTB x Normal can produce SHTCTB, Normals, and anything in between (Hypos, Carrot-Tails, Super Hypo Baldys, Tangerine Carrot-Tails, Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tails, etc.).

With your 1.2, your current potential pairings would be Sunglow x Bell Albino, and Sunglow x Super Hypo Tangerine Baldy. Do you know what strain of Albino your Sunglow is? That changes things. If your male is a Bell Strain Albino then it is compatible with your Bell Albino female, allowing you to produce more Sunglows in the first generation.

Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino) *if Bell Strain Albino x Bell Albino-
All hatchlings will at least be Bell Albinos. They will receive varring amounts of the line bred genes. The following can all be produced:

Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Carrot-Tail Albino)
    Sunglow (Tangerine Carrot-Tail Albino)
    Sunglow (Hypo Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Tangerine Baldy Albino)
    Sunglow (Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino)
    Hybino (Hypo Albino)
    Tangerine Albino
    Carrot-Tail Albino
    Baldy Albino
    Albino

Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino) *if NOT Bell Strain Albino x Bell Albino-
All offspring will be 100% Double Het for both strains of Albino and they will all receive varring amounts of the line bred genes. The other two strains of Albino are Tremper Strain Albino and Las Vegas (Rainwater) Strain Albino. The following can all be produced:

Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Tangerine Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Carrot-Tail Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Tangerine, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Carrot-Tail, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Tangerine Carrot-Tail, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Tangerine Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Carrot-Tail Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Hypo, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Tangerine, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Carrot-Tail, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Baldy, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino
Normal, Double het for Bell Strain Albino and either Tremper or Las Vegas Strian Albino

Sunglow (Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy Albino) x Super Hypo Tangerine Baldy-
All hatchling will be between Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy and Normal in appearance (varring amounts of the line bred traits), and all will be 100% Het for whichever strain Albino that your Sunglow is Homozygous for (whether he is a Bell Albino or otherwise). The following can all be produced:

Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
Super Hypo Tangerine Baldy, Het Albino
Super Hypo Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
    Super Hypo Tangerine, Het Albino
    Super Hypo Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
    Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
    Super Hypo Baldy, Het Albino
    Hypo Tangerine Baldy, Het Albino
    Hypo Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
    Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
    Super Hypo, Het Albino
    Hypo Tangerine, Het Albino
    Hypo Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
    Tangerine Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
    Hypo Baldy, Het Albino
    Tangerine Baldy, Het Albino
    Carrot-Tail Baldy, Het Albino
    Baldy, Het Albino
    Carrot-Tail, Het Albino
    Tangerine, Het Albino
    Hypo, Het Albino
    Normal, Het Albino

As for what morph to add to your collection, I'm not sure. It depends on which combos you like and where you eventually would like to go. Maybe a RAPTOR or an APTOR? I don't really keep up on all of the new morphs and all of the crazy combos anymore so nothing else really pops into my head.

Best of luck with your projects.
