Probably didnt notice it before. If theres nothing physically wrong with the scales there besided coloration I wouldn't worry about it. But keep an eye on it just in case.
Hmm...that is strange...I've seen lighter patches, from too-dry areas, but never dark areas "show up"...hmm....maybe someone with experience with this will show up.

Seriously, it is Elvis..... he he.... looks like nothing to worry about, balls can change colour as they shed, and this may be associated with that....
I notice quirky patterns on my balls all the time that I did not notice before.....

I wouldn't worry about it. Unless it seems to be bothering him at all, it's probably something that just... came up. Kind of looks like a paradox spot, but I don't think a normal can "turn" paradox.
