I'm not knocking everyone who played it. Alot of the people I used to be stationed with were in to it and the guys who were the Dungeon Masters took it way too serious. They would sit at work drawing stuff and talking in their elf language or whatever, and when ever one of their group would make them mad at work they would threaten to kick them out of the game, and these guys would back down from them. I never got into it but my roomate did. I was 20 and in Europe. There was no way I was going to spend the weekend with a bunch of guys, wearing a bathrobe and plastic sword, eating potato chips and drinking a case of Coke...

Re: Being harrassed by a reptile rescue
Not all DMs take it to extreme weirdness. You just fell in with wackos.
To the OP, your choice. Do a bunch of stuff back at him, and get labeled as just as bad as he is, or ignore him and let him stew in his own nastieness. Unless you have some illegil lizards, the officials aren't going to do diddley squat. He hasn't threatened you, just called you a few names. Calm down, and ignore his junk.
If there WAS anything you could do, I'd be all for it. But from my own recent experiances, there isn't. I'm 90% sure I know who you're talking about, and he's probably got every duck in a row as far as his own operation. YahooGroups couldn't care less about how the groups are run, and will tell you to drop out from his group and to block his emails.

Good point... I was in the Navy at the time...
OP, if you want to play by his rules, post a profile on the same dating site he uses and on your profile put " (his name), You may want to contact your doctor about getting on Valtrex."

Re: Being harrassed by a reptile rescue
OK...so he makes a phone call to the fish & game commission. If you've done nothing against the law, then you have nothing to worry about, right? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it seems like you're way too nervous over someone who is grasping at straws. Now, if you ARE dealing in illegal reptile trading, then you probably do have something to worry about. I'm not saying you are, but your fear simply doesn't seem rational for someone who is bent on a $9 "bill". If he does call the F&G and makes a false statement or accusation, he can and will be held criminally responsible for his actions.
There's just too much fishy stuff here to be able to decipher what's really going on if you ask me.

How about outing the clown here? Not all of us visit fauna as much as we used to.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Re: Being harrassed by a reptile rescue
Well since he emailed me with his physical street address...
And I have spoken to the president of the society of preservation of Horned lizards, TX. He is now a former member (his own wishes)
He has a habit of doing this.
AND thanks to Rabernet, finding his thread on the FC BOI
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...hlight=Palermo
His name is Mike or Mick Palermo, and he runs a reptile rescue out of wichita falls tx. He has a website, and a yahoo group.
HE was nice and polite up until the moment I decided not to send him my Platyrhino horned lizard. and unjoined his yahoo group.
I can either do screen caps of the emails or copy/paste them if any want to see them.
I may not post on fauna, but want this to go away first.
