Re: what kind of BP is this? I am so confused...

You got to understand, people don't so much care about you or what you are or are not scared of, but they care that the animals are treated properly. As I said before, I am not going to attack you over any of this, but the photos just make you look bad, regardless of how well you take care of them, and I do believe you take care of them well, but the floor thing is kinda freaky to me.

I never have fed out of the enclosures. Mine all get fed in the tubs and I have no issues with feeding responses. I dont think that it will hurt the snakes on a warm floor, but to me it is just more un-needed work to do when feeding. I would check the floor with a temp gun tho. Concrete has a way of pulling the cold out of the ground, no matter what climate you are in. When I lived in Hawaii my floors were what I would have considered too cold for a reptile, but if you are good then you are good.

Do you guys really need to talk all this crap to this person???? So you house your snakes different than they do......WHO CARES(this doesn't make you any better than them)!!!!!! I'm sure that everybody on BP.net likes this site right? I'm sure we would all love the comfort of other users (new ones at that) right? What makes you guys think that the OP would ever tell thier friends positive things about this site? Snakes eat in the wild all the time and they do just fine. Mind you, in the wild there is much more harm in the dirt than anything on a persons floor at thier house. So it might be a bit colder than the enclosure. I have talked to professional breeders, who are doing a lot bigger things than a lot of the people on this site, who have had thier snake room temps drop super low during the winter and thier snakes are still breathing and producing big healthy clutches. Have some diplomacy guys. Is this way you would like to be treated? Even if thier husbandry is completely wrong, a suggestion goes much further than an attack. I become more and more disgusted with peoples actions on here everyday. If I leave this site I will be definately tell everybody I know to stay away from here. There are good members(they know who they are). Unfortunately, the negative stands out much more.

Just a note--letting snakes bite you does not teach them any lessons in futility. They don't learn in that fashion.

It's better not to allow a snake to get so worked up that it tries to bite. If it does, then do whatever it is you have to do quickly, so that the snake has less time to get even more upset, and it can calm back down again. Keeping the snake in its comfort zone is a much better way to train it to tolerate handling.

It would see like common since right?

As for my snake.. we will have to see if he is granite or not.. Now some one told me that it could be banded is this true? or is it just how it is.. the snake as no aliens what so ever, mild speckling, and spider like bands on him, with a clear belly... there are normals like this?

Your snake could be het for something. But, trying to prove it out without knowing what it is would take too long. That being said, markers going down the side of the belly like that are usually pied markers. Again, you can't stand by that assumption alone. Try proving it out. Let us know how it goes.

I'm sure you don't care for me to chime in here after all these people, but in I've had no problems with "nasty feeding responses". I feel like I have some credibility in this matter because I keep my snakes in the same room as my rat colony (which is only 12x12 feet).

I've had no problems with getting bit because they think I'm food. Granted I only have six snakes, but I've yet to be bitten. I do follow a ritual when feeding them so they know it's feeding time not by the smell, but by what I do. I take their water dish and hides out of the tubs and give them a minute before putting the food in. All six snakes take the food within a couple seconds of placing it in the tub.

I'm just saying this to tell you that in my experience I've not had any problems with feeding my snakes in their enclosures.

About your snake, with a clear belly there is a chance that he could be a het for something.

    I appreciate your comment.
Yes and not all my snakes i feed this way. Only my large ones that tend to be a bit more of a agressive feeder. I have snakes that dont even strike at the food... just slither up and gentley bite it. but then i have my crazy feeders who would like to take your face off (because of their feeding responses).. like my 7 foot dumerils or those few ball pythons, so yes i feed out side the cage.

Thank you for your comment ^_^
