Condition of F/T feeders?
I was wondering, what is the typical condition of a frozen feeder rodent?
I recently fed a f/t adult mouse to my bp from petco and it had a water logged stomach, was missing hair, and barely even looked like a mouse. It makes me want to stick with live. Will smaller, private exotic pet stores contain a better product? What is the best choice for purchasing for a single snake?
Thank you

The best place to get feeders are expos. You can see the product that your buying. Alot better prices, and most of the time they will cut you an even better deal for quantity. Depending on the size you are feeding , you can buy like 20 packs or a 10 pack etc. They will keep in the freezer for about 6 months.

Either order from an online supplier, or get them at local expos. You'll find they look, and smell, a LOT better then.
I kinda figured what I was getting into when I went to petco after all the great stories I have heard on here lol. It was the first attempt and I honestly didn't think she would take it but timing that week made this a good opportunity to try a f/t.
I will likely stick with the live until an expo in October in Houston (my first one!) and then Ill try making the switch for good.
Any tips on how to keep them frozen and in good condition for a 2 hour drive back home?

Just place them in a cooler with ice. They should be fine.

I think it's Petco that sells RodentPro mice, which I assume is the same as rodentpro.com that has been recommended here for buying rodents from, yes/no?
