    Exclamation psycho mouse

    could have killed my snake!!!!
heres a story for your entertainment...
so my boyfriend suprises me with a paper bag full of mice!!! only people like us would truely appreciate a gift like that huh? i wasnt planning on feeding till tomorrow because its saturday and i would have the time and all that to go get mice but luckily for eclipse my boyfriend was on his game! woowhoo!! so i take out all the hides and water bowls (omg i never told you guys why i do this but it involves snake head banging and constricting in a water bowl with his head underwater, yeah,it was scary) i drop the guy in. i didnt prescent because i was going to sunset cliffs and that place is way too cool and exciting to wait for. so it takes a while but eclipse gets it. then another mouse, then ano- not quite. see just when i thought i was going to get a happy ending i drop the 3rd mouse in and realize he's on CRACK. jumping almost all the way to the top of the tank, im serious that little guy coulda edcaped out of my 20 gallon if i had a little more aspen. eclipse intimidated i can tell he just watches the rat, we were all in shock. i wanted to keep him.. kind of. just didnt think i should waste the talent. but whatever i wait and wait and eclipse doesnt strike even after many kisses of death . so my oyfriend picks the mouse us and flicks it in the head yeah its sad but i wanted him to knock out. but this guys a fighter he knocks out but eclipse doesnt strike and after only about 30 seconds the mouse is at it again. so we try again and still he's fighting he was kocked out then we dangled and still eclipse didnt strike. so one last blow and the poor mouse is on the floor of the tank belly up. then the weirdest thing!!!!!!!!!!!
ECLIPSE STARTS TRYING TO PUT THE MOUSE IN HIS MOUTH.
    no strike , nothing. -_______________-
and yeah you guessed it, the mouse is still ready to go another round so basically my snake is eating an alive but beaten mouse thats probably freeking out. i couldnt do anything eclipse was determined. the mouse's legs were kicking and everything i was scared he would get scratched and bit from inside. then my boyfriend switches into superman mode while im frozen and honestly scared to death and he gives the mouse one hard flick on his spine. the movement stopped. maybe the last flick was unneccesary or dangerus but it was all in the moment. im glad it stopped the mouse's freek show and eclipse is very passive about what i do to him, including pulling aspen from the side of his mouth with tweezers in between mice. dont jusge me!

LOL... I once got one like that, and actually posted a video of him on a different forum - called him the Michael Jordan of mice. He scared the heck out of Delilah, and she hid from him for like 20 minutes! Poor mouse seemed to know his fate...

    Re: psycho mouse

Oh wow....I am very convinced now that I will be using frozen to feed my snakes lol. I used to be a specialty worker at petsmart, I remember trying to put t.a.o. on mice that had scabbed backs. I almost forgot how high they can jump. I still remember how hard they bite though....I don't think that memory over goes away :-P

Hmmm live feeding is completely frowned upon here in GB. We much prefer the fun (stress) of dangling a F/T rat in front of an uninterested royal and throwing it in the bin 50% of the time. We also enjoy cups of tea and Pimms O' clock

Some snakes don't take f/t, and some people cant store frozen mice/rats in their freezers. Not everybody can do it.

I think they were being sarcastic, but I know what you mean! I've tried getting Mona to take F/T, but she flat-out refuses... and I'm getting REALLY sick of wasting $5 on the suckers. She's a very aggressive feeder with live prey, however, so it's probably easier to just stick with that.
