    Feeding

How often should I feed my 4 month old python? I have been feeding her every 5-7 days, 2 mouse fuzzies, each weighing approx 6g and the snake about 150g, so 10% of the snakes body weight are the fuzzies.
    Thanks Daniel

    Re: Feeding

Once a week, or as you already stated, every 5-7 days is good for a ball that young.

    Re: Feeding

When do I change my feeding pattern? And to what do I change it to?

    Re: Feeding

    It's all about size.

Atticus is over two feet now, but I've kept the routine the same in terms of how often I've fed her, which has been and will probably always be every Friday. When I started feeding her, I started off by feeding her just one tiny feeder mouse. As she got bigger, I started feeding her two and still do. Eventually - most likely within the next few months - I'll start feeding her small rats.

    Re: Feeding

you might want to think about transitioning to adult mice. giuseppi was pretty small when i started him on adult feeders, but he takes those without problem. i just look for the smaller feeders and he takes those just fine. he is starting to get some size to him so i will just look for the larger feeders. when i feed him now I do not notice a bulge once the mouse gets past the neck area

    Re: Feeding

    I would agree with Tuggernuts...

Just find a mouse that weighs between 15 and 22 grams...which is almost a full grown mouse...and you can continue feeding every 5 days until he starts rejecting it...after then, just feed every 7
