Another new addition to the family

I picked this guy up this morning off of craigslist for cheap. The owner was real good and had provided the proper care for him but his landlord/roommate would not let him keep him anymore. He had been keeping him in a 20 long, which I got from him, along with all of the extras. the tank is one with a sliding and locking screen top so it is pretty escape proof.

Frankie, the name of the snake, is a bit over 4.5' long and just over a year old. He needs a bigger enclosure, which will be coming soon, very soon, but he is a very tame snake, and the only thing I could find wrong with him so far is a bit of a retained shed in his nostril.

I tell you, it has just been raining snakes at my house this week.

Here is the picture I used to measure him with. He is 4'9" I am guessing he was probably born in 07 but I guess it could have been 08 as well.

    That's a beautiful snake!
I use the enclosures with the lids that slide in and lock in place, and I gotta say they are pretty escape-proof. No snakes have escaped out of those enclosures in my collection so far:].

Re: Another new addition to the family

Only thing with the one I have is that he is about to outgrow it so I will just build a cage big enough for him to grow into. At almost 5 foot I am sure he will be ok in it.
