Good point ...
I emailed him my first responses this morning and told him I really liked 3 (well, it was 2 .. i switched the order when posting ). He asked if I liked the font, and I said yes .. in fact I may like it too much!
He is willing to do revisions .. but I don't see much off hand I want revised. He is doing this for me for $20 .... I feel bad, like I should pay him more. I would be so lost with these projects if I didn't have people to count on.

Re: Logo Help
I you wanted to add anything I'd add a either a roman style helmate pop or upper body armer with the letter "B" on it.
Something like this.

Re: Logo Help
Hi,
I prefer the second one.
I think the peircings through the shield and font add a little and the geek in me thinks a shield is a better fit than a warrior iguana or a battleaxe.
Battlements are for defending and carry overtones of protection and dependability to me.

Re: Logo Help
It's been decided.
#3. It fit everything ... not exactly perfect, but it works for a newsletter header, and webpage graphic, it is simple enough to be put on items (in the future if we have more supporters .. maybe a t-shirt or mug), it has some humor, and it is simple to spot.
I like it. Thank you all for your help in making the decision.
