    growth spurt?

for the past month, my lesser has been really aggressive. he used to be laid back and nothing to be worried about but lately he has gone through a mood shift. when i open the tub, he quickly comes at me in strike position. it happens day or night. i also see him eyeing me when im in the room by the rack. he has gone through a total shift in personality and has bit me twice in the past few weeks. one my fault, the other....well who can you blame?!?

    Re: growth spurt?

Lucas, how's his feeding response? Is it possible that going through a growth spurt he's ready for a bit bigger prey each week? Does he seem reasonably satisfied with his current meal size and schedule or continue to hunt a lot rather than go off to quietly digest during the 48 hours post feeding?

im following the 10 percent rule. but he hunts the night after. feeding response is amazing. i open the tub just enough to get the rat in and he hits it before its lowered in the tub.

If I were a snake and I behaved like this, I would be saying "THANK YOU!, I have only been waiting for this since the last time, that's why I bit you, because I am STARVING, so you better be feeding me another mouse after this."
