    Baby Pastel BPs?

So, now I'm having second thoughts. I think I want a Pastel instead of a Cinnamon, just want to have something simple and not pay a lot for it since I don't have all the money in the world. This Nov. at my expo I'm going to purchase one, and I'm going there right when it starts. How much can I find a baby or juvenile male Pastel BP for? All I want is just a nice little Pastel, doesn't have to be bright or look beautiful, as long as it's a Pastel I'm happy.

The best advice I could give you is to check out the kingsnake.com classifieds. Right now theres one for $90 for an 09 male, sort of dark as you said, not bright or beautiful. Thats the only 09 male i could find. I would say under $200 for probably any. And ive looked at some older pastels and they darken quite a bit as they age.

    Re: Baby Pastel BPs?

I paid $125 for my baby male pastel, at the Reptile Expo here in the Bay Area... so you should be able to find one around that price, certainly no more than $200.

    Re: Baby Pastel BPs?

I'm not going to buy off any websites so you guys know. I'm wondering what price I could find one at a reptile expo. Thanks anyway for the websites, but I won't be buying off of any. I'm talking about how much would a baby or juvenile male Pastel BP would cost a reptile expo, since that is the place where I'm purchasing it. Thanks

when i went to the white plains reptile show, a coworker of mine got a female pastel born 6/30/09 they had it for 125 and we talked him down for 100 and they had males for 75 so im pretty sure u can get a male for 50 easy.

Yea, i was at the white plains show also and i saw male pastel's for as low as 65......pastels are almost as cheap as normals, the problem is they dont always want to give you a discount because they are already fairly cheap. Unless you want a quality line like Graziani which costs about 200 bucks, otherwise you can get a male for 50-75 bucks easily.

    Re: Baby Pastel BPs?

If you don't care the quality of pastel, you can get one for a rather low price.

If, however, you plan to breed, and want to produce quality pastels, then be willing to pay more.

I only purchase the best examples that I can find of any animal (including normals) and am willing to pay more for quality.

Conversely, any Grade A offspring that I produce will be sold for more than the average cost. There is a market for people looking for only the best and who are willing to pay more for the best.
