Anyone know how to get rid of headaches?

I have a really bad headache, and I want it gone. I don't want to take medicine or anything.. I just don't know any other way rather than taking medicine. I don't like taking pills one bit, I just can't do it lol. So, any suggestions?

Ice packs or go to a quiet dark place (cold optional) and lay down with no tv or anything like that.
    Bye everyone!

Stop eating general foods most people eat.
Eat low-fat meats, fruits, and vegetables. Raw is good too.

Stop eating fried foods, sodas, glutens, and sugars.

Most peoples headaches are caused by the crap they are really putting into their body. I used to get chronic headaches and migraines until I trained myself to eat healthier and more balanced (more veggies, less meat and potatoes).

I second the coffee thing. Drink a red-bull or anything with a lot of caffeine. If you look at an excedrin migraine bottle, the pills consist of apsirin and caffeine.

Re: Anyone know how to get rid of headaches?

what type of headache is it? remedy depends on that.
back of head, front of head, one side, general ache, etc....?

just a note - I had constant headaches and migraines for 25 years. when I stopped eating all gluten, they disappeared. not saying that's your situation, but I did want to second the idea that food sensitivities/allergies can and do cause a lot of headaches in people.

Re: Anyone know how to get rid of headaches?

Tiffany, if you have a lot of headaches you should really try to figure out what's triggering them. Keep a diary of them and exactly what you ate that day or computer/game system play or where you were or just really anything about the time before the headache came on. Also if you haven't had your eyesight checked in awhile that's something to maybe have looked into.

In my family a lot of girls get severe headaches/migraines during puberty and they do seem to outgrow them as their hormones settle down. My second oldest daughter Beth was getting them really badly. At first we thought it was just family history but it turns out they were mostly being triggered by mold growth. Beth is very reactive to mold and when my ex-husband checked on it, under the floor of the bathroom in his century old home was a very bad mold growth. Once he dealt with that Beth's migraines diminished quite bit.

Look for a cause and talk to your family doctor or a natural medicine practioner if you prefer to go that route. Ignoring severe and repetitive headaches isn't a good thing dear.
