    Spider or pastel?

I need some help deciding which morph I want to get next. And this'll more than likely be the last snake I get for a few years, so I want to make the right choice. I've narrowed it down to either a female pastel, or female spider to go with my male pastel. I always told myself I wouldn't invest in a spider because of their wobble issues, but I love the way they look and the combos they can make. But I also love the super pastels and it has been a long time goal of mine to produce my own...So, I am having real trouble deciding. Can anyone help me out, which one should I choose? Who would go best with my male pastel? I appreciate any suggestions.

    Re: Spider or pastel?

Female Spider all the way. You need Bee's not Supers!

Edit: Plus Bee's can make Killer Bee and then Killer Bee Axanthic's!

    Re: Spider or pastel?

I would go with a spider and shoot for bees. If you get the spider you have a chance to produce your own spiders and pastels (maybe get your female pastel for your male). If you get a female pastel all you can produce on your own is pastels, normals and supers. You could never possibly make your own spider if you go with the pastel female. But if money is an issue then pastel females are cheaper. Hope all that made sense -lol

    Re: Spider or pastel?

Exactly, if you had a recessive morph, I would say get the pair, but with codoms/doms, another morph makes more sense.

Last snake for a couple of years? Yeah right, you will get the itch sooner than that!

I am already leaning toward the spider now. It does make more sence. Thanks for the replies everyone!

I know, i can't go six months without getting a new snake. But I have to have some self control, lol, or I'll be out of money fast!

    Re: Spider or pastel?

Buy a pastel then save up for the spider and hopefully you'll have a super by then to pair it up with the spider ...thats my plan

If you get the spider, you can sell some bees maybe, and then buy more!

    Re: Spider or pastel?

I'd get a spider for the variety. You can always keep one of the offspring and make some supers later on down the road.

    Re: Spider or pastel?

depends on your situation. I debated on this a few weeks ago, my male pastel is nice but no where near a nice lemon or vpi. I was to get a really nice female to go with him to make a nice super, then in turn make brighter offspring with the super. Or thats at least the plan lol
