Getting a new snake at Daytona, need serious advice
Ok, so I am saving up for the Daytona show and I really don't know what to get to further my breeding projects. All the ones I am listing here I am equally a fan of, so no need for "go with what you like" (since I like all of the little buggers so much!). I will probably sell a snake, after the show, and I'd like advice on that as well. Probably one of my pastels or the ghost, but I want to wait til after the show to see what I end up getting. All my current snakes are in my sig, and I am basically looking for morphs that will provide interesting designer morphs down the line, not just the best money makers.
I've been told by an old time breeder friend that "color sells" so that is somewhat in the back of my mind, but I like all these equally. I just don't know what will add the most to my breeding stock in the years to come. I need advice on gender too, big time. My price range is around $600 or so, maybe a tiny bit more depending on what snake I try and sell.
Enchi
Pinstripe
Albino (can only get a male and maybe a het female to go with him, I'd really prefer high contrast, but that may be out of my league)
Cinnamon
Butter
Lesser Platinum (more info on this morph in general would be appreciated, I haven't been able to find much.)
Vanilla (though I've never seen one for sale at a Florida show)
a pair of het Axanthics, or maybe a cheap male if I can find one. I really want one that will keep the dark greys and blacks in to adult hood, I've heard VPI line is best for that.
a pair of het pieds, though probably out of my range
Spider - I really love all the different spider morphs, so a spider het for something interesting and then a normal het to go with him/her would be very appealing. I'm not really sure how the price ranges are on these, and if I ought to get another female spider or get a male spider, this is probably the trickiest choice I am considering, albino spiders look really awesome to me, same with Axanthic. Like a great deal on a het for albino spider paied with a 100% het albino female would make my day heh).
Woma
So yeah, some advice on the pros and cons of any of those, including their gender would be really appreciated. Theres just so many ones I wanna get I need some sound, impartial, grounded advice on where to go next with what I have. Cheaper is also better. If you think I could get about equal benefit on a snake that will only cost me $350 vs marginal benefits for one that is $200 more I am going for the $350 one.
I know I've posted a lot. I don' expect people to offer comments on every single morph I mentioned (and looking back damn did I mention a lot). Just pick a few morphs you have some knowledge to share about and discuss those. I am sure there are a lot of people in a similar situation that'd love to learn the thought process in to building a good, affordable breeding stock. Especially when buying at shows I like to have a lot of things on my mind incase I find a good deal on something and I can know right away if it is a good fit for me.

Excellent choices!
Only problem with that is that vanillas sell for the 1-2k price range.
Anything else could probably stay under your budget.
But to get something starting in your breeding project, I would recommend a pinstripe
you would make spinners with your spiders, lemon blasts with your pastels, jigsaws with your mojave, and maybe a ghost pin(never heard of it before) with your ghost, and just plain old pins with your normal!
I think the pin would do really good with your current collection.

Pin was topping my list for sure. Male I assume to go with my current spider? Then next season he could probably go with my pastel and mojave. Would also have some money to play with to get something else cool if I find some good deals, like an enchi or cinny. Both of those would add some really nice possibilities.
I am also thinking of maybe selling my current baby female pastel (at 275g or so now) and then just picking up a beefier one around a year from now. Seems like the prices on them are dropping pretty fast. She is a decent one, but not amazing. Pretty nice blushing in some places, and her color is a little on the dull side when compared to my male, but I think she may brighten with age. Then again may just be simpler to keep raising her myself. Can never really tell what kind of super or lemon blasts and what not she will make in the future. This sound thinking?
Thanks for the input so far!

if i was in your position i would probably be looking at a male lesser or butter first. Second would be a woma because they are some what rare, not a whole lot of people working with them. third would be a pin
just make a list and see whats at the show. if you cant find one at the right price or one that catches your eye, move to the next

Get a lesser female. Thats what im picking up at the daytona show. I am breeding her to my male mojo and my male spider to make BEL's and lesser bee's.

You can't go wrong with a male pinstripe. It would definitely work well with what you have already.

I just wanted to say that if that were my list, I would get the Enchi. It will mix well with your Spider, Pastels and Mojaves.

As for the 2 above comments. You apparently haven't been to Daytona before. I say that because Chris McQuaid (Gulf Coast Reptiles) is there every year, and he founded the Vanilla morph.
Also, if you look hard, you can probably find a trio of Het Pieds for $600.
Just my .02,

Yeah this is my first time at Daytona. I'm super pumped.
And yeah i am going with a list and some prices and will juust see what fits. Butters, pins are topping my list. Along with maybe a male spider het for
something that I like.
Will someone explain lesser plats to me some? Especially how they differ from butters I still don't have a good idea of how their genes work. Lesser
x lesser = an all white snake right? The nerd site doesn't have a good explanation.
Thanks again
