Re: aggression
By scared do you mean sometimes she will jerk her head back quick?

Re: aggression
My new pastel is also very aggressive (hisses & in attack mode) when I try to pick him up. It makes feeding day easier but I'd like him to calm down sometime soon lol.

Re: aggression
Ball Pythons don't have all that great of sight despite the high-res they see in. A lot of times a little sudden movement will make them pull their head back like that. It dulls a little with time but I've had Furio over a year now and he still jerks his head back if something moves fast around him. It's just something you'll more than likely have to get used to. I hope this helps!

What about the hissing & being in attack mode when you go to pick them up? Will this dull out over time too? I've had my new male pastel for 2 weeks now.

Re: aggression
I gave Furio about 10 days before I handled him at all. He never hissed of bit but I would let him mellow for say a week and then gentle handling sessions maybe 5 minutes everyday and just gradually increase it over time.

Re: aggression
Mine started to hiss when i took it out of the bag that it was shipped on, after the wait she tryed to bite me, so once i got bit she clamed down a bit, i dont know if it was just mine lol, he will get used to being handled, just keep handling him.

I don't think 2 weeks is enough time to tell. Sometimes after 2 weeks they can still be a little stressed from being moved and what not.
