    Exclamation Help!! Stuck snake.....

Okay, I knew this would happen eventually... Mona just got herself stuck behind a built-in cabinet! She was out (supervised) in what I thought was a secured hallway, and managed to find a hole I didn't even know existed. I tried grabbing her from behind, but that only made her go deeper. Now she's just chilling inside the wall, where I can see but not reach her... and poking her head out every few minutes, before pulling back inside.

What do I do now? Just wait for her to come out? As far as I know she can't go anywhere else, since it's a solid wall behind that cabinet. I tried putting the mouse cage (empty) near the opening, hoping to tempt her out with the smell - we don't have any actual prey in the house, and it's too late to buy anything. I don't have any tools strong enough to break this cabinet, not to mention I rent this house. How do you lure out a snake?? FYI, this is my large adult BP, who is over 4ft long and 1900g. TIA for anyone's help!

By accident, I got video footage of her disappearing into the wall. I was just filming as she slithered on the ground, until I noticed her going into the crevice - and consequently dropped the camera, LOL.

Uhh...that sucks. I have no clue besides putting some food in front and waiting for her to come out. Oh and setting up a base camp. Good luck?

    Re: Help!! Stuck snake.....

P.S. Here she is inside the cabinet (used the camera like a periscope to find her), and peeking her head out... stupid snake!!

Here's where she ALMOST came out, before I made the mistake of trying to pull her the rest of the way...

im no expert but in ur position at night i would set up some sort of trap so while i sleep nothing happens, i had in mind of secure a pvc pipe to the hole and letting that pipe lead in to a cage or somthing and if not that then one more solution , make use of that hammmer u got there and start prying open that cabinet at least enough to where u can fit ur hand good luck

Since she's still poking her head out every few minutes, I'd sit quietly and wait her out. The picture where she's started to come out certainly looks like she would have come all the way out on her own.

    Re: Help!! Stuck snake.....

I was trying to pry the cabinet with the hammer, which is why it's laying on the ground - but neither I nor my larger roommate were strong enough! The PVC idea is pretty clever, although I don't have anything like that around the house. I also thought of putting a large box in front, so she'll feel secure coming out. Argh!! Thanks for the ideas...

Right now we're trying to annoy her out, by banging on the cabinet (that made her peek out before). Luckily I'm a night-owl, so I won't be going to bed anytime soon.

oi....I've had that almost happen, but in a couch. Like suggested, intise with food. I'd also suggest putting her hide out where she can see, or if she's kept in a tub, set the tub down there. Also, I would put up a head lamp if you have it, in view, by her tub or whatever. any combo of those things.

I don't think the hole goes into the wall. Good luck!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... I was just about to "periscope" with the camera when she pulled out, but then I made the mistake of reaching for her (thinking stupidly I could grab her from the neck area). I guess she'll come out eventually, especially since she is a curious girl.

She will soon, I'm sure shell see her hide and go to it. When I have my girl out while Im cleaning her tub, she sees the hide and is like "..hey...is that my hide??" :::gets very interested and heads its way::: eventhough the thing is laying upside down. Shes silly.

It'll work, just hopefully sooner rather than later, for your sake! It's gettin early!!
