You don't want to cover your flexwatt completely in anything. Just tape down the edges where the black heating element isn't present with your aluminium tape. Tape your tstat probe so that it is right in contact with the flexwatt and you're good to go.

Thanx alot! I will try that now. I just cut my finger tips a bit removing the aluminum tape
