Re: What is your largest collection?

At any given time I figure I have between 35-40 snakes (maybe over 40 at this point -- I haven't done a count in a little while). I buy and sell frequently, though this year I am REALLY hoping to stabilize my collection, get down to only the snakes I really truly love looking at and get a huge thrill out of every time I open up their tubs (or beloved pets that ain't goin' anywhere), and get to a point where everything new that I want is something I'm hoping to produce rather than buy ... Though who knows if I'll ever get to that point

I'm just wondering when my chinchilla collection is going to surpass my snakes ... Hovering right around 20 chins right now, but I could see that exploding sometime soon even more than it already has

I usually figure that at any given time I have between 70-80 animals in the house -- it's an ever changing number what with things being born, sold and purchased all the time

Re: What is your largest collection?

My biggest collection is guns. Currently 26 and about 3000 rounds of assorted ammo. This is only half of what I had about 3 years ago. All 43 were registered and ATF came by to make sure I still had possession of all of them. That was ok but the 7000 rounds of 7.62X39 ammo cause them a little stress so I thinned out the collection. But I am always in the market for a numbers matching Albanian SKS...

BP's, I have 2 as pets. When the next Reptile expo comes around in Sept. I want to get a Woma Ball. I think I am becoming a sucker for the reduced patterns... LOL

Re: What is your largest collection?

I have had at most 5 total herps in the house at one time(not counting snakes/turtles/frogs/etc I'd catch and keep for an afternoon when I was a kid) and I'm tying that current record right now, but that will likely expand with more geckos this year. I've never had more than one snake at a time.

Since people are listing other collections.. my collection of fishing lures is huge, uncountably so. A couple hundred? A thousand? More? Not to mention that they are currently spread throughout places and people I visit in 4 states and 2 countries. THAT collection will likely double in numbers after this coming winter when weather keeps me indoors more and I plan on taking up crafting my own custom lures.

I currently have 4 ball pythons, 2 amazon tree boas, and 3 colombian boas.

I'm planning on trading one of my female colombians for a pastel ball python from a friend, and probably going to get a few baby morph ball pythons once they start hatching out
