I hope she checks out when you take her back to the vet.

    Cute caption on the picture!

Just call in sick to work, say it's a family emergency(which it is... kinda?) and then go, but make an appointment first. When we lost power during winter for 3 or so days because of snow & ice in louisiana, I called in sick so I could keep an eye on my snakes, I couldn't get to wal-mart to get the heating packs so I had to let my baby Anaconda(it was only like 2ft at the time) sleep on my chest, and between my rib and arm to stay warm. Then once the roads were un-iced I drove my car to wal-mart to get the heat packs then I put them inside a wet towel that i squeezed for humidity, and i put my shirt and a hat in a kritter keeper to keep her warm, and she was fine.

    Re: Lillith is doing well!

I kinda can't call in. I have a disabled hubby who can't drive so every dr. app't... i drive him. plus our mentally ill step child (his daughter), i have to take off for all of her psychiatry appointments. plus, i am diabetic and i have diverticulitis (almost died in april), so ... given our close office environment and how we all know one anothe'rs business.. i can't make that an excuse.

problem is, i live 13 miles north of my work. the dr. is 6 miles south/west of my work. so i would need to take off an entire afternoon since the boss forbade me from just bringing the snake to work in a box, making a 4pm appoint and only missing my lunch.

i'll figure it out, i just need time. in the meanwhile.. i am still giving her her antibiotic shots utnil the vet says not to. it's only been 28 days. the vet said even if a'ok by 30 days, he still continues for a week to be sure.

here's hoping my dad will bring her to my job so i can grab her and take her to the vet

    meanwhile, more pics:
