Debating on what else to get for breeding...

Right now I have whats in my sig. My plans are to breed my 08 DH Glow to my 07 Jungle het Kahl for my first year of breeding but after that year I'm going to need to have a few other males for the season after that. My plans for the second season would be to prove out my poss. DH snow(anery het albino) out with the DH glow and then put something else to the Jungle het Kahl if she's back up to weight. I also have a pretty normal I need something for.

So I don't have a Motley or Pastel and I'm thinking of something along those lines... Don't have a TON of money but I imagine I could swing like a nice pastel het albino for the Jungle and then maybe a regular Motley for the normal. Ideally I'd get a Hypo Motley and a Salmon Pastel but that is a LOT of money right now that I don't have yet... I just spent a pretty good amount on what I have but I also know that I don't want my males to be too far behind my 08s. Ugh...dilemma. Any suggestions?

I know just about nothing on boas but I do love a clean motley. Motleys are one of the boa morphs at shows that make me stop and look. Super jungles are also super spectacular (and expensive)!

Well the "cheaper" genes that I have already are:

-Hypo
-Kahl Albino
-Anery
-Jungle

So really I still need Pastel and Motley before working my way up to the more expensive T postivies and parahets and whatnot. My goal is to breed my way up to stuff like super jungles and moonglows etc...

Jimisnakes does have a possible superghost on his site that would be SICK to breed to my Anery but I want to prove her out so I dunno... All ghosts would be specfreakingtacular though... I guess what I should really do is just aim for animals that'll shoot out morphs to get my breeding project off the ground. That's the idea with the Jungle Sunglow attempt which will be my first breeding.

Hell, even a nice inexpensive het coral male would make some really nice animals paired to that Jungle I have...

We have our first breeding season coming up this fall and I went through the same thing. What I decided on is to ask myself what I would want in my own collection, we are just breeding to further our collection so the expensive morphs I do not like we will not even touch. Albinos/moonglows/sunglows just do not do it for me, I love bright, clean snakes with abberrant patterns.

I just picked up a pastel from Jimi that I am really excited about and this fall we will be breeding salmon/pastel and salmon/jungle. I am looking forward to making our own morphs and refining the lines as much as possible. It is a longer road to travel than just buying them but I think more rewarding in the long run.

Eh, I think I've fallen back to what I was going to do before. TH Moonglow for my Anery poss. het Kahl, DH Glow to the Jungle het Kahl and then like a regular motley or something for the normal. If I do get into pastel breedings I want to do a pastel x pastel at the very least to keep the colors going. IMO a nice pastel to a normal is going backwards. Heh, I probably should just wait until after my first litter and if it all goes off without a hitch, sell the babies to fund the next season's males. I DO need to get a backup male though... Can't have my DH glow decide to be celebate and then be hosed lol. Probably should just get the TH moonglow now for just that reason...

I really do want a Motley though so I might just have to suck it up next year and hit white plains in the fall and pick up a hypo motley male even though it is a bit expensive...

Maybe a hypo arabesgue het kahl albino. The arab sunglows are awesome.
It really depends on what you can afford.
I just purchased a male snow. He'll being arriving sometime next week.
Check kingsnake.com regularly. I wouldn't jump on anything too quick until you decide for sure.
Let us know what you decide. Looks like you have already started a nice collection.

Well I'm STILL in the process of moving to a bigger place. I've been going into Air Force base housing for like...3 months now. Idiotic staffing... I want to wait to move before I get anything else, I thought I'd be there already when I ordered my 4 current boas lol. I'm praying to be in by the White Plains show so I can go up there with some cash and see if I can pick up 2 or 3 more animals to finish my breeding plans. Like I said I still need a backup male at the very least. My 07 female is on the small side so definitely not breeding next season but the season after is what I'm shooting for. I probably should have 1 more female and then 3 more males.
