Hiding
My female normal used to always stay in her hide during the day, but suddenly i noticed shes been coiled up on top of the hide now during the day.
There are two hides for her; one next to the water bowl and under the heat lamp, then i have one above of a UTH, could this possibly be shes too hot in them?

go to walmart and get an acurite for $11. if you arent using a thermostat i guarantee its way to hot in that hide. also, remember these are ball pythons, they stay in their hides about %80 of the time.

You:How many snakes do you have?
Me: Oh, just a room full.
You:Eh, how many?
Me:A ROOM FULL.

Re: Hiding
I'm with the others; it's probably too hot in there.
That or she may have defecated in the hide. My girl is such a neat freak, she will get as far away from her feces as possible and huddle in the corner until I clean the cage out.
