To be more specific: There's a difference of temperature requirements between water snakes and terrestial snakes (i.e., the yellowbelly sea snake would die at temperatures above 96 degree).
The lethal minimum and maximum temperatures for terrestial snakes differs depending on their origin. Think along the line of Sidewinder Bitis Peringueyi(african desert) and common adder Vipera Berus (Scandinavia).
