normal normal or a something fancy normal?
i saw you guys rating normals, and you can be brutal and say, she is a normal normal, but i was wondering if she was an exeptional normal?
She will always be exceptional in my book as my first little girl!
also these are her 10 day pictures and she seems bigger than the other ton in the tank so i picked her.... good thing she is bigger? bad thing? does this reflect her adult size? how fast will she grow?
*feels bad that she was given her as a gift and only knew of corn snakes*

The thing about normals is that there are many different variations and everyone has their own preferences. If you think she is "fancy" then that's what matters. Sort of like choosing artwork

"Sort of like choosing artwork" is a great analogy.
But I do like her gradient on her sides, very beautiful!

Nice! She'll be at least 10 feet by next year.
Just joking!!! She's probably just a better feeder and that's a good thing.
At 18-24 months she should be about 30 inches.

I don't think people are being brutal when they point out a snake is "normal". Many people come on this site with a new snake, see all of the morphs, and then assume that their snake might be a morph as well. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm sure their owners don't like to hear their snake is "just" a normal.
Normals come in many, many different flavors: dark, light, blushing, contrasting colors, busy, reduced, etc. The important thing is whether or not YOU like your snake. I would much rather take a really good looking normal over an ugly morph any day (and I have kept back a few normals from my clutches I thought were nice looking).

Re: normal normal or a something fancy normal?
question, in the wild aren't they all normals?
0.1 Normal ~ Taffy
1.0 Pastel
0.1 Cinnamon

If you're talking normals vs. morphs, then no... all of the morphs you see today came from snakes that were captured in the wild. Of course breeders bred the base morphs to create new ones such as the Bumble Bee or they bred normal looking hets to their offspring to discover new morphs such as the Super Spotnose.
