Top on or Off Eggs?

When putting your eggs into the incubator and each clutch is in a seperate container should I keep the tops off the containers or leave them on?

on to hold in the humidity

On if you want hatchlings.

Off if you want nice dried out non viable eggs.

yeah you definatly need a good lid. I had a clutch last year that wouldn't fit in my normal egg container so I used a rubbermaid tub. well the lids arent very tight and my eggs started to dry out after two weeks. so I had to use seran wrap to hold in the humidity.
