Lavender Albino x Caramel Albino

Why when you breed a LA x CA you get double hets for lavendar and caramel and not triple for lavender, caramel, and albino. Why does the albino gene not carry to the offspring if it is apparent in both parents? OR does it?

Not the same gene.

Lavender Albino is one gene, Caramel Albino is another gene, and then you have regular old albinism which is a third seperate gene. So your cross above will only yield double hets.

0o0o0o0o ok I get it so a Lavender Albino and a Caramel Albino isn't a Caramel x Albino or Lavender x Albino but a whole seperate gene itself...
