    A quick update...

At your recommendations I replaced the Carefresh with paper towels, which will be much easier to clean! I also ordered an Acu-rite thermo/hygro online, put up the "wallpaper," and added another hide. The new hide seemed too small at first, but he immediately showed a preference, even though it was on the cool side... so I switched it to the hot side, and he followed it over there. Here's a picture of how everything looks now, but ignore the 100% humidity reading (the device was still wet from cleaning - it's back to 55-60 now):

I think my cat has a slight identity crisis, LOL. (she jumped in while I was working on the tank)

    Re: How does this look?

Btw, when I was cleaning out the Carefresh, I found a few (tiny) pieces of shed skin... he's not going into shed, as far as I can tell, so is this normal? Maybe just leftovers from the last time?

Glad to see that you are ordering an acu-rite.

It is possible the little bits of skin you found were leftovers from his last shed.

He is a good looking guy. Great blushing.

Go here for the Acu-Rite, they're pretty cheap:

That hide will do fine for a hatchling BP. It will start to get too small once the BP reaches 400-450 grams. Just get another one for the other side and you'll do fine for now.

Acu-rites are great. I got mine at farm and fleet. Sad thing is a couple of my snakies like to take them and dump em into their water bowls, the jerks. haha!

The new little one looks really good. You forgot to mention what you ended up getting. He/She looks like a super pastel, but I can't see the head. What is it?? Either way its gorgeous.

Thank you. He is a regular pastel, but apparently very flashy! I posted his story & pics on the general BP forum, but here he is again...

Btw - I just gave him a live rat pup, and he took it like a champ! So I guess that means he's happy with the setup?
