Sssssnake In The Grass - Viper Boa

At last I got my dark colored viper boa as I've wanted for over seven years. And I finally got some good photos of her. She's such a snake in the grass. lol

Moved her to another location for some different shots. She looks really wild here I think. Like I spotted her out in the field or something.

very cool looking boa, I've always had a little itch to pick up a pair for myself.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours?

Re: Sssssnake In The Grass - Viper Boa

One of my St. Isabel Solomons passed away due to a fluke kidney abnormality that caused them to shut down. The breeder was kind enough to send her (an LTC of six years) to me as a replacement. So, happenstance. I can PM you his e-mail if you like, but I don't know if he has any more. I don't buy fresh WC animals, and LTC only as a last resort (which are never available anyway), but I feel I was lucky to have her sort of fall into my lap since it seems like all the viper boas in the US are fresh WC and nothing I'm interested in - I like the extremely dark ones, not the brown ones.

I'm hoping desperately to find a dark CB or LTC male for her and get at least one litter from her before she gets too old. But I feel like it's an uphill battle against time.

Pretty snake. I was going to get one but it was more brown that I would like so I passed.

What an awesome snake. Good photography too. The low light setting really compliments her blackness.
