    Pastel to Normal Question?

If I pick my lightest colored normal female will it help brighten up my pastel offspring?

    Yes and No....

If the coloring of the normal is genetic, then its a possibility, but more than likely it will not be passed down.

    Re: Pastel to Normal Question?

Careful selective breeding has brought about some remarkable results in improving the various pastel lines. While there are no guarantees that the lightness of your normal will pass down in a predictable manner, it certainly MAY enhance the look of some of her pastel offspring. I would always opt to breed my "best" to my "best" and if you have a normal that you think will help improve the line...then go for it!
