At the auto repair shop? Had my car in the shop for a part that was ordered but the wrong size was shipped and was being replaced today with the correct size. The owners son was in the back of the shop moving some of the cars around when he comes back into the office area carrying something in his hand. He nearly stepped on a baby snapping turtle. It has to be a very recent hatchling as it was tiny.He was going to release it in the pond behind his house after work.
The first picture is of it in a small dog dish with some water.

sorry for the crappy pics.. I only had my cell phone with me.. but I could NOT pass up the opportunity of taking a photo and of letting my children hold it. yes even my 1 1/2 year old held it, she was quite excited about the turtle. i was amazed at how small it was compared to pictures of adults. It was about the size of a quarter. thanx for looking and enjoy.
