heat tape / bp questions

ok so i have a homemade rack and the heat tape i have is working great but there is 1 question i have 1 level on the rack has a buzzing sound. just wondering if this is bad and is there any way to fix it?

next i believe i read something on here about head rub. well i have 1 snake that seems to have a mark on his head and i believe that is what happen. any way to help him heal?

and last i have seen the scale roit and the scale burning. i was just wondering if there is any home remedy to help with that?

I'm not electrically inclined in any way but I would think that there may be something wrong with your connection on that level of your rack. Perhaps re-soldering the heat tape will help??

Neosporin, the plain kind with no pain relievers in it should help the healing process.

I think the best remedy is prevention. For scale rot make sure you clean your enclosure regularly as well as not maintaining too high of humidity in your enclosure.

And for the burns make sure that any heating element you use is controlled by a thermostat.
