What a cutie!! I like that black spot in the middle of his back. That's deffinately a unique pattern.

    Re: It's a boy!

Thanks for all the kind comments!

I was really looking at starting off with some nice female morphs like lessers, bumble bees, that kind of thing. But there was something that just attracted me to this boy! Ya see, I go to a small business for my feeders (run out of someone's home) and he recently just got in some ball pythons. We took a peak at them real quick right at the start and I noticed this male. Then I kept thinking about him. (Didn't know it was a male.) Had my 3 year old irian jaya carpet python sexed (female, woohoo!) and then the person who was over that sexed my ij proceeded to start sexing the ball pythons. I was really hoping that this little one was going to be a girl. BUT. Nope. So it made the decision a little harder... but not much, obviously. His pattern/colours just really stood out from the crowd and no matter what other 'potential' candidates I looked at he always won out.

I'm very pleased with my first little ball python though.

    I'm still so excited.

He is beautiful! I think he's a wonderful first choice for your leap into ball pythons! No matter how many you end up having in your collection, this little guy will always be special to you! The firsts always are!

I just have to say that only after a full day of having this guy I am already smitten. What an amazing snake. I can't believe it took me so long to get my first ball python!
