Re: Not sure if this is the right area for this?

Yes I do know about snakes as I have owned many before but never went with a racking system before and I am trying to figure all this stuff out. And I own only 3 and the other 3 are my brothers and I am in care of them untill he comes back from Afghanistan.

Well, with the ranco or johnsons, it controlls up to 6 heat sources. There are none that I know of that will control anything less than 6 other than the reptitemp 500r and that only controlls 2.

You need a thermostat. If you don't have something controlling your heating elements, your snake will get cooked.

This is a rack that my brothers girlfriend made for him so I will be building my own next week so he can take this one back to NC when he comes back.

Nice rack. I'd love to see some pics of the snakes! Copy the "IMG" code that you will see if you put your mouse over a picture on photobucket. Then paste it here.

There are two one female and one male it is hard to tell the diff in the pics but the female's color is so much brighter than the males. The rest are as follows 1.1 normals and 1 Male Pinstripe and 1 Female Spider. I hope you enjoy the pics!!

Re: Not sure if this is the right area for this?

Thanks for the info and website!! My brother and I purchased a Johnsons Thermostat with the night time cooling feature and a temp gun and also a new and better rack system that has 6 tubs and comes with heat. All that for 419.00 it would have been cheaper to build one but I think we did good on all we got. It should be here by the end of next week so I will post some pics ASAP!
