My Pied male "Deuce" Check out the before and after
The first pic is a few weeks after he was born, the second is about 6 months later. I tehn realized that there is now a black border around his patches, but before there was no black edge. This is the same snake. Is this normal to see happen??

Re: My Pied male "Deuce" Check out the before and after
Your pied has what I call "bright edging". I don't know if it is genetic in origin, but I have a couple who are that way each year. Seems random, but I can usually tell which ones will be that way. I think it looks really awesome!
Re: My Pied male "Deuce" Check out the before and after
I'd say it's common and yes, can happen to others. I have seen some like that and I know that my one pastel and male normal had WHITE bellys when they were little but my normal now has spots all over in the white and my pastel has gotten a bit more black patches not directly on the belly, but on the edges as he's been growing. I expect to possibly see even more when he's full grown.
